[Interfacing Features]
Symphony V1.00 is designed to work seamlessly with any LC-MS system that is controlled by MassLynx. A link to the Symphony client is specified in the MassLynx Sample List Process column and as soon as an acquisition has occurred, the Symphony client will process the file as specified by the Symphony Pipeline .XML file detailed in the MassLynx Sample List Parameter column.
The general rule of thumb is that processing tasks can be any executable, batch, or script file that can be run from a Windows command line. This gives great flexibility in the construction of a Symphony Pipeline. In addition, Symphony can also run Python scripts. There is a growing collection of Symphony tasks available on the Symphony User Community, and we encourage all users to share the tasks that they make.
If you require your LC-MS .RAW files to be in an alternative format such as .mzML, Symphony can automate this process using the MSConvert file conversion task from ProteoWizard. Details can be found on the Symphony User Community.
